'different, quirky and educational...fabulous' BBC Gardeners World

Gardener's World showcased the Kitchen Garden project, coming to film a school session. After showing the kids enjoying their session, presenter Jo Swift enthused:

'This is a fabulous project. It just goes to show that a neighbourhood scheme can be different, it can be quirky and educational all at the same time.'

Record attendance at drop-in work session

We had a record 44 people on Sunday working away. Well, 42 worked, and one Trustee and friend walked around and inspected, but heyho. The sun shone, the potato bed got dug, the nursery bed got weeded, the big hole in the central axis that the water contractors made last summer and we have been waiting ever since to be filled got filled by the Duke of Edinburgh team. The maze layout - still only pegged out in string - was tested by willing small volunteers, marigold and allium seeds got sorted, geranium and parsley seedlings rescued. A good time was had by all.
