Open Day woad

Bright yellow woad flowers brighten up the onion bed.

Open Day tulips

There were still some tulips in flower, although not the display we had planned before the hottest April on record.

Open Day plant sale

Demand was overwhelming and a queue built up at the shop... by the end of the day nearly everything was gone. Beautifully grown herbs, flowers, vegetable seedlings - all the surplus sown by the children in the previous months was snapped up.

Open Day maze

Those who accomplished the treasure trail around the gardens were allowed a go on the new (and still) immature herbal maze. It seemed the fairest way to ration it.
